The Absolute Radio network saw its reach top 4 million in the second quarter of the year.The figure represented a 7.5% year-on-year rise from 3.8 million and a 3.8% rise quarter on quarter from 3.9 million.The network's share stood at 3.1% in Q2 15 - up from 2.4% in Q2 14 and 2.7% in Q1 15.Elsewhere in the Bauer stable, the KISS network saw its reach hit 5.2 million listeners - up 13.1% year-on-year and 6.8% quarter-on-quarter. The Kiss breakfast show saw similar gains - up 16% year-on-year with 1.8 million listeners.Meanwhile, the Magic network saw its reach jump 26.6% year-on-year to 3.6 million (0.5% quarter-on-quarter).It should be noted, however, that the Absolute, KISS and Magic brands were at the centre of a new Bauer radio expansion strategy implemented in January this year.Overall, Bauer Media claimed 10.4m listeners (up 7.9% YoY). 53% of total Bauer Radio listening took place via a digital device compared to the industry average of 40%.Dee Ford, group managing director Radio, Bauer Media, said: "This is a fantastic book of 'best-evers' with outstanding results from our KISS, Absolute Radio and Magic brands.
