Acme Lift: Hitachi Construction Machinery enters North American rental business

Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Tokyo, has acquired a 33.3 percent equity interest in Acme Lift Co., Mesa, Ariz., which runs Acme, an equipment rental company. Hitachi Construction Machinery will begin to gradually strengthen its rental business in the North American construction equipment market, the company says.
