The Acura Legend Begins in 1986
After the launch of the 1986 Acura Legend, the compact Acura Integra soon followed, available as a five-door and three-door hatchback. These cars were the first to incorporate multi-valve engines for zestier performance on the highway in Miami.
In 1989, Acura built the NSX, the world's first all-aluminum production car. This sports sedan was considered an "everyday supercar" because it was reliable and easy to drive.
