Weight: 146.6 lbs / Mood: tired and slightly sore I woke up noticeably more tired than normal. Did not get good sleep last night. Basically took two 4-hour naps between 12am and 10am with 2 hours of being awake in between. Breakfast: 12oz coffee with stevia and heavy cream, ½ cup whipped heavy cream with 5 strawberries, ~15 blueberries, and 2 Tbsp shredded coconut flakes. - Mood: nauseous. Had to force myself to eat the breakfast. The last 2 bites of the berries and cream were really difficult to get down. Gagged a little from the heavy cream taste and texture. Lunch: did not have lunch since I was still feeling the effects from breakfast.Dinner: leftover pork belly stir-fry with cauliflower, last-third of the toasted almond salad, hot green tea. - Mood: nauseous, queasy, and extremely cold. It could have been the weather since it was raining all day but I came home feeling chilled to the bone. It did not disappear after dinner either, as I had hoped. Therefore, I decided to make some hot green tea to try and warm myself up. Exercise: evening soccer game for 1.5 hours. I was reluctant to go to soccer since it was rainy and I was still chilled to the bone. I felt obligated since I was meeting friends there, so I made myself go. I warmed up very quickly and surprisingly, had an abundance of energy throughout the game. Came home refreshed. Cicely Shankle is a resident nutritionist at the Alaska Center for Natural Medicine.
