Alcor Micro: Alcor Micro steps into USB 3.0 controller chip market

IC design house Alcor Micro has recently stepped into the USB 3.0 controller chip market. Alcor Micro's latest USB 3.0 controller chip, the AU87100, has a read speed of up to 160MB/s and a write speed of 60MB/s and is able to drive eight NAND flash chips simultaneously, according to the company.
