The engineering companies Alfa Laval, Outokumpu and SSAB have started a collaboration to reduce emissions at Laakso Hospital in Helsinki. This is stated in a press release. Low carbon steel will be used in Alfa Laval's plate heat exchangers to create a more energy efficient cooling system solution. "Our heat exchangers already reduce customers' emissions, and with low carbon steel we also reduce emissions upstream in the value chain," said Julien Gennetier, VP at Alfa Laval in a written comment. SSAB's current steel is called Zero and at Outokumpu it is called Circle Green stainless steel.
Alfa Laval is a Sweden-based company that supplies hardware products such as valves, pumps, evaporators and oil separators for industries including energy and transportation.
