Working as part of Allegiant's Wealth Management team, Tucker Horsley provides financial planning support through data complication and analysis, report preparation, and the management of financial planning software. We hope you enjoy learning more about Tucker personally as well as his path to Allegiant, in his own words: I originally am from Tavares, a small town in Central Florida. Academics and athletics were the center of my house growing up. I fell in love with baseball early on, and for a long time my life was spent at school, the baseball field, and the never-ending car rides between the two. My hard work paid off my senior year of high school when I was offered a spot playing division 1 baseball at the University of North Florida. Truthfully I did not know what type of degree or career I wanted to pursue when heading off to college, but after exploring potential majors, I decided to major in finance. During an Intro to Financial Planning course my junior year taught by the head of the CFP program, I added a second major in financial planning after hearing how passionately the professor spoke of his career as a CFP professional. I found out I have a passion for financial planning throughout the rest of my time in college. I love the ability one has as a financial planner to make a long-lasting impact on their clients' lives through the comprehensive planning process.During my senior year at the University of North Florida, I found Allegiant's job listing for the paraplanner position. Supporting wealth advisors at an independent fee-based RIA during the financial planning process was my dream job out of college, so I submitted my application as soon as possible. Throughout the interview process, I was inspired by Allegiant's family-like atmosphere and commitment to continually put each client's interests first regardless of the situation. During my conversations with the Allegiant team, it was obvious that they exemplified what it meant to uphold a fiduciary standard. I was over the moon happy and could not wait to start working when I was offered the position. I (virtually) graduated from UNF on Sunday, April 18, 2021, and began my career here at Allegiant the next morning at 8:30 a.m. sharp.I could not be more excited to move to Sarasota. Despite growing up in central Florida, I am no stranger to this area of Florida. When I was young, my parents got married just north of Sarasota on Anna Maria Island. Since then, we took countless family trips back to visit, and my parents ended up buying a home on the island. Outside of work and studying for the CFP exam, I enjoy fishing, golfing, and discovering new coffee shops. Luckily, Sarasota might just be the best place in Florida for every one of these hobbies.Already in the short time since I've joined Allegiant, I know I made the right choice. On my first day, fellow Paraplanner Kristina Vorndran, MS, CFP®, CRPC®, likened the knowledge and experience I would learn to drinking from a fire hose. She could not have been more accurate thus far. Every day I find myself learning and growing, both professionally and personally. The staff here has been nothing short of amazing, welcoming me in with open arms. Seeing how they treat each other as a family and how emotionally invested they are in the work we do is truly inspiring. I hope to be a part of the firm for a long, long time.
