AllegiantMD: AmSurg buys Florida group

Sheridan, the physician services division of Nashville-based AmSurg Corp., has bought AllegiantMD, a radiology services firm based in Tampa. Terms of the deal were not released. AllegiantMD employs 43 radiologists serving 18 facilities, according to a news release, with the majority of services provided to acute-care hospitals owned by HCA and Community Health Systems, which are both based in the Nashville area.
