Alpheus: Houston fiber communications co. completes acquisition, names new CEO

A merger of two Houston-based telecoms has created the largest independent fiber-optic network provider in Texas, the companies say. Logix Communications has completed its acquisition of Alpheus Communications, creating Logix Fiber Networks, according to a Jan. 2 press release. The deal was first announced in May.
