Alpheus: Houston fiber communications company snaps up competitor

Houston-based Logix Communications announced May 30 it has completed a definitive agreement to acquire Houston-based Alpheus Communications, a deal that deepens Logix's fiber communications portfolio in Texas. With the deal, Logix adds 2,800 route miles of long-haul fiber and 1,900 route miles of metro fiber to its existing network, the statement said.
