Derek Jeter and Tiësto are getting onboard with botanically-infused booze.AMASS Brands-an Arts District-based startup that uses non-GMO botanical ingredients like ashwagandha and sumac to create seltzers, cocktails, candles, lotions and other body care products-has raised $15 million in new funding, it announced Thursday. The New York Yankees legend and the world-renowned DJ joined media executive Michael V. Lewis among the round's notable investors. The company is best known for its cocktail blends, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks that are stocked at Soho House, the private club with 27 locations worldwide. AMASS also partnered with pop star Katy Perry earlier this year to release a line of non-alcoholic cocktails infused with herbs and mushrooms thought to have health benefits."I was introduced to AMASS a few years ago and was blown away by the complex flavors and clean ingredients," Tiësto (the Dutch superstar DJ's real name is Tijs Verwest) said in a statement. "They are taking over the beverage market by storm, and I wanted to be a part of it."AMASS previously raised more than $4 million last year through equity crowdfunding platform SeedInvest, according to PitchBook data. That round valued the company at more than $75 million.
