Anastasia Confections: BBX buys Florida confections manufacturer

BBX Capital Corp.'s candy subsidiary acquired Anastasia Confections, a candy manufacturer in Orlando. The deal gives the Fort Lauderdale-based company (NYSE: BBX) ownership of an 80,000-square-foot production facility in Orlando. Founded in 1984, Anastasia makes gourmet candy, coconut candy, chocolate gift products and candy specifically for Florida tourists, which as salt water taffy, chocolate alligators and citrus jelly.
