Andronico's will not come to Edgewood Plaza, which has been without an anchor grocery store for more than a year. The supermarket, which has six sites in the Bay Area, says the three sides in the lease negotiations could not reach agreement. The developer of the shopping center, Sand Hill Property Co., which is being fined $1,000 per day by the city for every day the plaza lacks a grocer, says Andronico's backed out of a deal with no explanation.
