Andronico's: Safeway buys Andronico's Community Markets

Safeway will buy Andronico's Community Markets for undisclosed terms, the companies said Wednesday, snapping up all five of the Bay Area-based chain's stores. The acquisition will keep workers in their current roles and will could add jobs eventually, Safeway said, with all employees keeping their benefits and union rates of pay.
