Ann Marie's Beauty BlogWelcome and thank you for visiting my blog. Setting up a blog has been one of the many projects on my 'to do' list for quite some time and kept getting delayed due to my hectic work schedule. I am hopeful that I can find a brief window of time each week to share my experiences about makeup products and application techniques.About MeI am a professional makeup artist/hairstylist & founder of Anemone Makeup. For over 25 years I have traveled on-location to apply camera ready makeup for celebrities, athletes, musicians, actors, models, CEO's and countless brides. I love what I do and find happiness each day working on different projects such as television commercials, photo shoots, corporate videos, live performances and weddings. In 2008 I introduced the Anemone Makeup Artist Training program with the intention to help aspiring makeup artists enter the profession and share my passion and success. My classes are small which gives me the opportunity to get to know and collaborate with each student. I believe the new generation of makeup artists is inspiring, creative, intuitive and fun. It's a joy to share my expertise and witness their hard work and dedication to become the best at their craft. Why I LOVE Makeup! As a believer of continuous learning, positive change and reinvention, being a makeup artist has been gratifying in more ways than I could have imagined. I truly enjoy working with people to helping them look their best both on and off camera. Because makeup colors, styles and ingredients are constantly evolving, I always have a chance to try something new, express my creativity and stay inspired. Experimenting with products, mixing colors & textures, and discovering unique ways of applying makeup remains my passion.I'm still amazed by all makeup transformations, and how wearing even a small amount can greatly enhance a person's appearance as well as their confidence. A professional makeup application with effective highlighting and contouring can even erase years, being over 50, I really love that! - Ann Marie Laurendeau
