ASG Employee Spotlight: Matt Husak Matt is a Search Consultant for our ASG Skilled Manufacturing practice group. He is a keen problem solver and is so committed to helping our candidates find the right jobs. Read on to learn more about Matt… Q: What are two of your favorite hobbies? A: Golf and Duck hunting Q: What is your personal mantra? A: Be nice, treat others how you want to be treated. Q: What kind of activities do you like to do with your friends or family? A: I enjoy playing/watching sports and anything outdoors related Q: What was your favorite vacation? A: My two trips to Alaska Q: If you could have dinner with any person from any time period, who would it be and why? A: Anthony Bourdain, as he has been quoted as “your body is not a temple, its an amusement park. Enjoy the ride.” His stories would coincide with my love of travel and experiencing the unknown. Q: What made you want to work for ASG? A: I felt comfortable with the team and the direction the company was headed based on the pillars we operate by. Q: Before working at ASG, what was the most interesting job you had? A: For two summers in college, I worked at Blossom Music Center in production and got to meet a lot of people and was able to see shows from areas most will never have the option to. Q: What do you look forward to most when you walk into work? A: The new challenges that arise every day that allow me to use my problem-solving skills pretty frequently. Q: What is your favorite thing about your job? A: Being able to interact with multiple candidates and clients on a daily basis to truly understand what they are looking for and then being able to make it happen! Q: What’s unique about the culture at ASG? A: The team environment with the focus on personal and company growth Q: What advice would you give to someone looking for a job right now? A: Be patient and make sure to interview the prospective employer just as much as they interview to make sure you are making the right decision. Q: What do you find most rewarding about your job? A: The long-term relationships I am able to build on a daily basis. Q: What led you to a career in staffing? A: Just luck I guess! Staffing wasn’t even on my radar out of college but was given a shot for an entry-level job and the next 13 years are history. Q: What have you gained from working at ASG? A: I was able to sharpen some of my skills and learn some new ones from my teammates and peers. Q: What is your proudest moment at ASG? A: I don’t have one specific moment as every little win adds up to the overall satisfaction of my job.
