This morning, Volkswagen Group of America announced via a press release that it is pleased to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) for its proven commitment to its LGBT employees. VWGoA earned the distinction of being named on of the "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality" by satisfying 100 percent of the 2016 Corporate Equality Index's criteria in regards to corporate practices and policies pertaining to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees.The 2016 CEI evaluated the policies and practices of more than 1,000 business, including non-discrimination workplace protections, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, domestic partner benefits, and public engagement with the LGBT community."Volkswagen Group is privileged to employ such a diverse and dynamic workforce," said Machelle Williams, General Manager, Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility, VWGoA.
