BarrelWise: BarrelWise secures $3.1 million CAD to modernize wine barrel management

Vancouver startup BarrelWise has closed a $3.1 million CAD seed round in recent weeks, led by Conexus Venture Capital through its Emmertech fund. The funding will also be allocated towards expanding BarrelWise's team to bring on key sales, marketing, and technical personnel, as well as bolstering the startup's production and customer support capabilities. In addition to BarrelWise, Emmertech has also invested in Ukko Agro, Lucent BioSciences, and TechBrew Robotics. Emmertech raised $45 million CAD in its first close last year and secured a $15 million top-up earlier this year, bringing the total fund size to $60 million.
