What better way to celebrate the beauty of the Holiday season than to participate in the 113th Audubon Christmas Bird Count. This year the count starts on December 14 and runs through January 5. For over one hundred years this has been a family tradition - making a contribution to science and conservation. This Audubon adventure is the longest-running wildlife census. So come equipped with binoculars, bird guides and enthusiasm. Locally, the Bear Creek Nature Center (245 Bear Creek Road, Colorado Springs) will hold a Count on Saturday, December 15th at 8:30 am. This event is free but the Center is asking for a $5.00 donation for bird seed! Reservations are necessary at 719-520-6387. So while enjoying the beauty of nature we also invite you to experience the Pikes Peak Area by staying at one of our warm and cozy member B&Bs. Who knows what kinds of birds you might see right from your Inn?
