CaroMont Health has signed a lease for a new hospital on Belmont Abbey College's property. It's the next step in a proposed, $196 million-plus project in Belmont. Gastonia-based CaroMont signed the lease last Friday with the Southern Benedictine Society of North Carolina. CaroMont did not share lease details but confirmed it is an agreement that spans decades.
