Black Stone: One of Dayton's largest home care companies acquired

A home care company founded in Dayton has been acquired. Home Care By Black Stone, which is now headquartered in Cincinnati, has been bought by Almost Family Inc. of Lousiville. Almost Family (NYSE: AFAM) paid $40 million for the firm, according to a release from the company. Home Care By Black Stone is the sixth largest home health company in the Dayton region, with more than 660 local employees among the nearly 1,500 total, and $6 million in local revenue, according to DBJ research.
