BRIO Restaurant: Brio Tuscan Grille closure results in 48 layoffs

The closure of Brio Tuscan Grille in Chestnut Hill this past weekend resulted in the layoffs of 48 people, according to a notice from the company filed with the state. The restaurant, which opened at 200 Boylston St. as part of Chestnut Hill Square in 2013, closed on Sunday after its parent company, Columbus, Ohio-based Brio Bravo Restaurant Group, was acquired by private equity firm GP Investments and taken private six months ago.
