Studdert is being honored as for his support of local education and industry associations at the Port of Houston and surrounding communities, as well as his leadership at Buffalo Marine, the Port Bureau said. Early in his career he was a coach at Sharpstown and Waltrip high schools, and worked at Buffalo Marine alongside his father, Thomas Studdert, on Sundays.
