And now our Remodelers have their Showcase.Homeowners (and those who want to be homeowners) relish Pinterest, HGTV, Houzz, and other galleries of photo inspiration that tell stories of rooms and houses that are transformed from rags to riches. From a dilapidated diamong in the rough rancher on Fixer-Upper, to a cluttered, outdated kitchen turned airy, inviting cooking and entertaining hub splashed across a blog page on Young House Love, everyone loves a good Cinderella story. We know that many of our member remodelers have a handful to tell themselves - local families with a challenge in their home that is met in spades to dazzling results.The Remodeling Showcase Awards is your avenue to tell that story, and earn some well-deserved recognition for your creative work. The early bird entry deadline is just about a month away, so if you've got some jaw-dropping before-and-after photos that you want to show off, make sure you get your application in by November 11 to save $75 per entry. With 14 categories available, there's room for projects of all shapes and sizes, including: Additions, Aging-in-Place, Basement, Bathroom, Commercial, Exterior, Garage, Interior, Interior Specialty, Kitchen, Landscaping, Old House Restoration, Outdoor Living, and Whole House Remodel. And, new this year, online entry is available for added convenience!Just like with the Parade, your entry is judged by a panel of building, remodeling, and real estate experts from outside the area, in price divisions with other projects of similar scope to ensure equitable comparisons. Awards will be presented at a special event in March, and promoted through press releases, billboards, and other advertisements, as well as on our website, where home enthusiasts can go to see more details and photos of the projects. Plus, of course, winners receive a special award to display in their showroom or offices, to give your customers that extra assurance that they're hiring from among the best in Lancaster County.Give yourself that added boost of credibility and a distinction that sets you apart from the field.
