NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) - Caterpillar, a major manufacturer of construction and engineering equipment, celebrated its 100th anniversary at its facility in North Little Rock on Monday. To celebrate the occasion, the Caterpillar Foundation made a donation to the Arkansas STEM Coalition, a statewide organization dedicated to promoting STEM education in Arkansas. "Tomorrow is the 100 year anniversary for our company so we have the Centennial World Tour, which is a display that we're shipping around the world to our different CAT facilities. Today, we're on the tour," said facility manager Chris Heitzmann. "Its a great opportunity for our employees to tour the display and learn about their contributions as Caterpillar employees." The Centennial World Tour is an immersive traveling visual exhibit that illustrates the history of the company. Heitzmann says that the North Little Rock facility is also celebrating 15 years of operation. For more information on Caterpillar's 100th anniversary, CLICK HERE .
