Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. was accused by federal labor officials of shutting down a Maine restaurant because workers there petitioned to unionize. The complaint was filed Thursday by a regional director of the National Labor Relations Board, on behalf of the agency's general counsel. Chipotle shut down the site in July, a few weeks after workers petitioned for a unionization election. The company has said the move was caused by staffing issues and unrelated to labor organizing.
