Cimation: Accenture Buys Cimation

Global consulting firm Accenture announced very late last night that it has acquired Houston-based Cimation, a provider of industrial, Internet-of-Things (IoT) consulting. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Accenture said the move will help it expand services for its clients in the oil and gas, pipeline, chemicals, metals, and mining industries. Cimation provides consulting in the areas of process automation, information technology (IT) and industrial control system (ICS) cyber security.
