Cody & Carls Blvd Blog Carl's Emergency Surgery!

As many of you already know, Carl has been fighting the battle of the 'bulge'He was down from 36lbs to 33.8lbs in 3 months but his weak back end & his weight finally paid a toll on his left kneeYesterday while sitting on the porch, he saw a squirrel & descided to chase it, he went about 40ft & yelled out in pain, he was 3 legged from that moment onI took him to vet ER ASAP, got pain med's but he was still in pain, so first thing in AM we rushed him to Blue Pearl in Northbrook & without hesitation descided to hand our precious Chub Chub to surgeonsWell the worked on his knee socket, repaired his completely torn ACL & did some other houskeeping on that knee, he is still in Hospital today, but he is doing well & eating (of course!)We pick him up today after work. Now we have 6 wks of keeping him quiet & not licking his incision...
