Concerto Marketing Group Blog There are three types of content in this world...

by Michaela KlassenThe beginning of the year is a great time for resolutions; get back to the gym, reconnect with old friends, and reevaluate your content marketing strategy.Content marketing has revolutionized the way marketers think about connecting with their audiences. Consumers have turned away from traditional media sources in favor of non-interruptive sources, and now we are faced with the challenge of trying to communicate without selling. The solution, of course, is consistently creating and curating valuable and relevant content with the aim of changing your audience's behavior. When curating content for your blog or other social media outlets, there are three purposes you can organize them in to; learning, recognizing, and buying1) LearningThis content is for first-timers. Not just to your company, but to your industry. These pieces are for those that know nothing about your product, let alone who the thought leaders in the industry are. Think of these pieces of content as a "Your Industry for Dummies" guide. For example, if you're in the automotive industry, an article about current trends in electric vehicles would be perfect. Take it slow.2) RecognizingNow that you have taught them the basics about your industry, you're ready to show your audience who's boss. Let them know what it is about your company that makes you stand out and establish yourself as a thought leader. Going back to our previous example, source some content that lists some top brands of car manufacturers (assuming you're at the top!).3) BuyingNow that you have piqued their interest, it's time to close the deal. These types of content may be harder to source, so you're going to have to write them yourself. This is a great opportunity to talk about a new product you have launched, or give specific examples of what you're currently working on. Write a quick blog about how that new technology you developed is being used, or share a short client success story. These are great ways to generate leads, without actually asking your audience to buy something.Streaming Insights is a new tool from Concerto Marketing that can manage all of your content needs.
