Convene: Convene expands UK leadership team as brand portfolio expands

The Convene portfolio of meeting, event, and flexible workspace brands, which includes etc.venues, has announced Daryl Jones joins as vice-president of UK operations, effective immediately, while Jane Hague (pictured) will join as director of UK sales, effective 5 August. The new hires follow the appointment of Niamh Martin as UK MD in February, and mark the completion of the regional leadership team charged with focusing on operational and sales processes across 13 UK locations. "Since joining Convene earlier this year, I have been focused on building the structure, systems, and processes that will set our portfolio of brands up for long-term success in the UK - bringing on a VP of operations and a director of sales is a key part of supporting our growing organisation," said Niamh Martin, UK managing director at Convene. "Daryl is a seasoned operations professional with a focus on hospitality and Jane is one of the most well-respected event professionals in all of London." Jones has nearly 20 years of experience in the lifestyle hospitality industry and will oversee site operations for 13 Convene and etc.venues locations across London, Manchester, and Birmingham. Prior to joining Convene, Jones was regional operations director at Soul Foods Group, a franchisee of Starbucks, KFC, and Taco Bell, where he oversaw a portfolio of 30 locations. Hague brings over 20 years of experience specialising in the meetings and events industry and she will oversee a team of 32 event sales professionals in London, Manchester, and Birmingham responsible for selling across the Convene portfolio of brands, including etc.venues. Prior to joining Convene, Hague served as head of business development at ExCeL London. Convene is the largest single provider of dedicated meeting and event venues in the US and the UK with a network of 35 premium meeting, event, and flexible office locations across its portfolio of brands. The company counts Ares and RXR Realty among its investors, and has been named one of America's 100 Most Promising Companies by Forbes and a Best Workplace by Inc. magazine, Fortune magazine, and Built In.
