They are made of household plastic collected through our curbside recycling program in Regina and Moose Jaw as well as the surrounding areas.2. The boards are solid and weigh about 3.25 pounds per foot.3. Our experience has shown us that there is no effect on the boards because of summer heat.4. The boards get warm but not hot to sit on.5. With weight of the boards at 3.25 pounds per foot they are certainly very stable.6. The boards are definitely paintable. We recommend a marine paint for durability.This furniture is made from household plastic with a metal framework.
