An innocent driver was killed this morning in a collision with a wrong-way driver on Highway 225 near Allen Genoa. The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. Friday September 16th, 2016 when a wrong-way Ford F150 pickup struck a Kia Optima passenger car. The collision caused a fire that appears to have largely consumed both vehicles. The driver of the Kia died at the scene and the pickup driver was transported to the hospital. A mandatory blood draw will no doubt be performed to determine whether the wrong-way driver was intoxicated.
