The holidays are a time to celebrate with friends, family, and, of course, food! If you are headed to a holiday party or a family gathering this season, here are some tips to ensure your food makes it to the festivities, and not to the floor of your car.
Get some disposable containers or casserole dishes with tight-fitting lids. They prevent spills in your car, and make it easy to leave the leftovers to thank your host!
Pack your dish in a cardboard box packed with a few towels. This keeps your food warm and snug, and the towels will soak up any spills that might occur. If you have glass or ceramic containers, this is a great way to prevent breaks.
Make sure your dish won't slide around in the car. You can ask a passenger hang on to it, or buckle it up with the seat belt if you are traveling alone.
