Degremont: Suez Environnement acquires two water treatment companies

Suez Environnement has acquired two water treatment specialists through its subsidiary Degrémont, as it seeks "to reinforce its development in water for industry".UK-based B&V Group produces water treatment chemicals, equipment and services for the food and beverages industry, while Canadian firm Poseidon specialises in separation systems for industrial water treatment, and its portfolio of proprietary technologies "has long been at the forefront of wastewater and process water treatment", Suez Environnement said.The company claimed that the two acquisitions were "in line with Suez Environnement's strategy to expand its industrial activity and reinforce its offer in innovative and value-added solutions", although few financial details about the transaction were given.Its deputy chief executive officer for international activities, Marie-Ange Debon, added: "We are delighted that these two companies joined Suez Environnement. It will further contribute to our position on the industrial water market, one of the group's four strategic priorities."
