Deloitte: V2 brings on board ex-Deloitte Consulting principal Alvin Oh

Data and AI consultancy V2 has added former Deloitte Consulting principal Alvin Oh as an artificial intelligence (AI) and modernisation partner to bolster the rapidly growing company.Oh has more than 20 years technology experience, which includes a three-year stint at Deloitte Consulting where he was the Asia Pacific application modernisation principal for just over three years.He also has experience in pioneering large multi-million-dollar enterprise IT modernisation and transformation programs across industry sectors that include financial services, energy and utilities, as well as retail and government.As a technologist, Oh has a track record in delivering programs and accelerating business growth for clients.V2 founder and CEO Craig Howe said data and AI are two of the top business agendas for the brand and Oh's expertise in this area will further strengthen the consultancy's client offering."Having worked alongside Alvin previously, I've witnessed his exceptional experience building and leading strong teams," said Howe. "Alvin's expertise will help V2 deliver on increasing needs for data and AI capabilities that yield modernisation and meaningful outcomes for our enterprise clients.Howe previously said to ARN many organisations are stuck in a cycle of competing priorities, including ongoing digital transformation needs. Add AI into the mix and this creates another level of complexity. However, organisations were grappling with what he calls "change fatigue" and trying to do more with less at a time when changes are accelerating rapidly in the digital space, he noted."AI has the power to optimise customer-facing experiences, reducing time to market [and] improving customer satisfaction, but it also raises important considerations around technical risk frameworks and backend operations," said Howe.The Melbourne consultancy also received a commitment of $30 million from US-based venture capital firm Columbia Capital in May 2024.At the time, the investment was expected to be used in accelerating V2's current growth trajectory and enhancing its capabilities in delivering solutions for clients.
