Deutsche Bank has brought in certain changes within its leadership team, including the appointment of a new chief financial officer (CFO). The bank has also brought in a transition within its Americas leadership. James von Moltke, current CFO, who also assumed the role of president in 2022, will step down as his contract expires in June 2026, after spending nine years at the bank. Raja Akram, currently serving as deputy CFO at Morgan Stanley, will replace von Moltke. Akram will join Deutsche Bank as the designated CFO on October 1, 2025 and will formally take up the CFO role as a management board member on January 1, 2026. Akram, who has extensive financial leadership experience, has had a 14-year tenure at Citigroup before joining Morgan Stanley in 2020.
