It's been a bad week for coding bootcamps and schools in Austin this week, as two, different coding schools said they are ending their operations here. Earlier this week, Dev Bootcamp, which operated a coding school that had a location in Austin, said on July 12th that it would be shutting down all of its bootcamps across the country, after failing to find a "sustainable model" for its education efforts. On Thursday, another coding school, The Iron Yard, also said it would be shutting down, saying it had reached the "difficult decision" to cease operations at all of its campuses. The Iron Yard had been focused on preparing students for careers as software developers.
Dev Bootcamp is a California-based company that offers programs such as web development, digital marketing, graphic and UX designing for individuals and businesses.
