Digital Bridge Blog Zayo Group win ‘Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year – Americas’ at TMT M&A Awards 2020

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – December 4, 2020  – PRESS RELEASE – Zayo Group’s US$14.3bn take-private transaction by Digital Colony and EQT Infrastructure has been named ‘Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year – Americas’ at the annual TMT M&A Awards 2020. The deal was voted as the clear winner by the judges panel, who described it as ’epic, brave and significant’, and a real game changer for both the European and US fibre markets, with wide ranging implications. The judges also highlighted the structure of the ringfencing of LPs to enable the transaction, which was seen as new and innovative, with a complex range of negotiations taking place. One judge said: “There is everything to love about this deal”.
