INDIANAPOLIS, IN - DIVSYS RapidProto announced the addition of another Panasonic AM100 with 14-nozzle head, 160-reel inputs, and non-stop changeover. This machine joins the RPT area as new and existing customers are ramping up their NPI initiatives with RPT. "There are shops (all over the Internet) that offer cheap (Electrical equivalent) prototypes. These have a place for hobbyist and students but are often used in "Real World" projects with bad results. RapidProto provides prototypes that are suitable for the Industrial customer, including Medical, Aerospace, Military, Automotive and Telecomm," noted Stanley Bentley, P.E., Sr. Technical Advisor, at DIVSYS RapidProto. RPT builds 1-10+ day assembly using only automatic equipment to full production standards and the most modern equipment available including solder paste deposition using "jet" technology, Panasonic placement systems, AOI, and selective solder. Updating customer data and providing "lessons learned" back to the customer (or CM) that will help speed the iterations and improve manufacturability is "standard procedure". The in-house PCB/PCBA Laboratory compares the PCBs against the IPC-D-356 netlist to ensure that they match the original design, as well as micro- section validation that the PCB were fabricated to the correct specifications. All purchased parts are from "normal" distribution, and placement / soldering is performed with automated equipment, including AOI and Selective Soldering.
