As a Combat Veteran, this type of tech would have been great while deployed to Afghanistan in detecting suicide bombers and and if it was strong enough, detecting IEDs. In the application suggested, I feel that it is a great use for security in our Airports. It could save money on expensive scanners and streamline the look of facilities that need this type of detection. All in all, I think this tech if used for the proposed application, will lead us to safer and less stressful security measures in our public facilities. On the other hand I had mentioned earlier, I fear that this could lead to the development of scanning technology that would be intrusive and encroach upon our right to privacy.
