The past year has been an exciting one for Broadway in Downtown LA. The opening of exciting new retailers along with announcements for other exclusive fashion-forward stores has pushed the historic corridor's revitalization forward. Continuing this momentum along Broadway, local Los Angeles developer King's Arch recently debuted its beautiful re-imagining of 537 S. Broadway, an art deco gem that is now home to flexible creative office and ground floor retail space. Built in 1931, the 6-story structure was designed by Walker & Eisen, one of LA's most talented and prolific building design firms of the 1920's and 30's. Originally constructed to meet the specifications of its first tenant, F&W Grand Silver Stores (pictured below), the building is notable for its gleaming gold exterior accents, which King's Arch has meticulously restored to its original grandeur. While the structure's façade offers an important nod to the past, the interior has been carefully transformed into creative office space designed to meet modern business needs of today.
