Downtown LA's 7th Street corridor may no longer be referred to as "Restaurant Row" anymore by locals, but it originally started off that way during the early years of the city center's urban revitalization back in the mid-2000s. Today, the street is still lined with a variety of unique and mainstream eateries that continue to draw people far and wide. New restaurants like JOEY DTLA and V have become the newest hot spots, in addition to original establishments like Bottega Louie. Now, I'm excited to report that 7th Street is gonna get another huge name, this time from the Asian BBQ world. Japanese BBQ chain, Gyu-Kaku, has just signed a lease to open in Downtown LA! Located a few doors down from the venerable Bottega Louie, Gyu-Kaku will replace the recently shuttered B.S. Taqueria space that closed down earlier this year. According to commercial broker Eon Lew of District Realty Group, who represented both the landlord and Gyu-Kaku in the lease transaction, the restaurant will not only take over the 2,500 square foot B.S.
