Dytran has announced the launch of the Model 4600A1, also known as the VibraCorder - a three-channel vibration data logger. The IP64-rated data logger is a versatile and easy-to-use tool for recording and analysing dynamic acceleration and vibration data in a wide range of applications, from product development to industrial maintenance and testing. The miniature, portable data logger can be used for recording vibration data from external IEPE sensors such as acceleration, force or pressure transducers. It can record data at a high sampling rate of up to 25,000 samples per second. In addition, it provides the ability to increase the channel count if measurement requirements expand or change by simply adding another unit and connecting by cable or by its optical synchronisation method. The unit can power and record three external IEPE sensors for up to 10 h on the internal Li-Po battery. Alternatively, it can be connected to an external power source through USB for extended recording periods. The product is user-friendly and easily programmed on simple Windows-based software interface. This allows easy configuration of sampling rates, trigger thresholds and other parameters. Data can be downloaded using the USB cable or wireless connection. Features include: three channels of IEPE data acquisition using standard 10-32 coaxial connectors; synchronous acquisition across multiple units with optical link or hard wire for channel expansion; anti-aliasing filters; and a software-controlled relay for the operation of external components.
