EmotionReader: Miami-based facial recognition software startup gathers $38.5M in funding, inks acquisition

Kairos, the Miami-based artificial intelligence company that specializes in facial recognition, will close on $38.5 million in new funding in August, CEO Brian Brackeen said. The news comes as the company today announced the acquisition of Limerick, Ireland-based EmotionReader for an undisclosed amount.
