Endurance International: Clearlake Capital Launches New Domain Registration Company, Newfold Digital

Santa Monica-based private equity investor Clearlake Capital said this morning that it has created a new company, Newfold Digital, through the acquisition of Endurance International Group, plus strategic investment transactions with both Web.com and affiliates of Siris. Endurance owns the web hosting and domain name registration businesses Bluehost, HostGator.com and Domain.com. Web.com owns Network Solutions, Register.com, Web.co, and CrazyDomains. In addition, the company said that its affiliates, along with affiliates of Siris, completed a strategic equity investment in email marketing firm Constant Contact, which has been spun out as an independent company out of Endurance.
