Enduring Resources: Former Chesapeake CEO McClendon makes $4.25B in deals

Former Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon and his new venture, American Energy Partners, have announced $4.25 billion in acquisitions in the Permian Basin and the Utica and Marcellus shales. Forbes reported that AEP is spending $2.5 billion to buy Denver-based Enduring Resources and the 63,000 net acres it has leases, with 16,000 barrels per day of production in the Permian Basin of west Texas.
