Family photography is about so much more than stiff poses and smiles on every face. My goal with every family session I do is to capture the energy and unique connections among all family members. I am so lucky to be able to do what I love for wonderful families in such a beautiful place. Lotus blossoms scream summertime in Japan, so when the opportunity to create family photos among these gorgeous blooms arose, I was pumped. (And yes - you read that right. These photos were in late August and I am just now blogging them. Oops.) Not only is this family ridiculously good looking, they’re also good friends of mine. It was raining just before their session, but we decided to go with it. The overcast skies were beautiful, and the water that pooled on the ground added extra interest to their images.
