Here in Iwakuni, Japan, we are super lucky to get to experience cherry blossom trees in all their glory this time of year. Sakura family sessions are extremely popular for good reason. All the photographers in our little community let out a collective groan when our movement off our military base was restricted due to Covid-19. Luckily, we still have some beautiful trees that were blooming on our base.Even though this sakura season was anything but normal, these trees put on their usual show and gave us something gorgeous to enjoy while social distancing and capturing some of the beauty that comes with life in Japan. Below are some personal favorites from the family sessions I shot this season.
