Ericsson: Ericsson promotes stalwart Ludvig Landgren to lead A/NZ

Ericsson has promoted Ludvig Landgren to head of Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) after working for the vendor for close to 25 years.Relocating to Sydney from Singapore for the role, Landgren will move from his current position of Ericsson's lead for its cloud, software and services and enterprise unit for Southeast Asia, Oceania and India, which he has held for the past five years.In this previous role, he worked with service providers in A/NZ on driving digital transformation, automation and 5G monetisation.Meanwhile, his new position will see him work alongside the company's local team, partners and customers "to unleash the next wave of mobile innovation, for the benefit of consumers and enterprises," Landgren said."Ludvig is a seasoned telecommunications executive with a deep understanding of the Australian and New Zealand markets," said Ericsson Southeast Asia, Oceania and India head of market area Andres Vicente."He brings valuable insight into how our customers, partners and government stakeholders can unlock the full potential of 5G - as a platform for innovation and a driver of tangible business outcomes. Landgren succeeds Emilio Romeo in the role, who has taken up the position of executive strategic advisor to drive growth and transformation with key Ericsson customers in Southeast Asia."As early mobile technology adopters, including global frontrunners in 5G, Australia and New Zealand service providers are in a strong position to redefine how our industry creates and captures value," Landgren added.Ericsson previously told ARN that private 5G technologies are also opening the door for channel partners who are traditionally focused on IT to expand into operational technology (OT).
