Ericsson: Ericsson removed diversity and inclusion language in annual report after Trump demands - Di

Telecom provider Ericsson has removed language on diversity and inclusion from its annual report, according to Dagens industri. This follows President Donald Trump's executive order banning diversity, equity and inclusion guidelines, also known as DEI, which he now wants European companies to follow. According to Dagens industri, Ericsson, which in its 2023 annual report described diversity and inclusion as an important part of the company's values, has now removed sentences about diversity and inclusion, and the term does not appear at all in the description of the personnel policy. Ericsson's press officer Ralf Bagner told the newspaper that the company has not changed its approach to inclusion and diversity. "In the 2024 annual report, the language regarding this area was updated for greater clarity. We do not allow discrimination and make decisions regarding our employees based on competence and merit in accordance with applicable legislation," he said.
